The main purpose of our consulting service is to provide help to those that either have their own bookkeeping system in place or want to initially set up their own bookkeeping system. Rather than subscribe to our DFY (Done For You) Bookkeeping Services, one may only need occasional help in performing the operations yourself, that is, a DIY (Do It Yourself) approach. We can accommodate those requests or perhaps recommend someone else that may better fit the bill.
DISCOVERY CALL (optional)
In accommodating such requests, we may need a Discovery Call to understand the full extent of the request if communication via email is not sufficient. This provides us the chance to offer third-party options before any direct billing would incur. If direct billing does occur, it will usually involve a 1:1 format involving phone or Zoom interaction. Billing would be done on a timed (hourly) basis.
SUPPORT
Please note that this consultation would NOT involve any transfer of bookkeeping records to/from us. If visual input is needed, both sides would be on a Zoom call, you would share your screen to illustrate the problem within the accounting software you are using, and then we would help walk you through the problem as you perform the operation(s).
At this time we primarily support QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Sage 50 Accounting, but may not be able to support other accounting software, such as Xero, Zoho Books, FreshBooks, Wave Accounting, and others. This really depends on the complexity of the request. In many cases these software providers have their own type of user support, which could be cheaper in the long run vs. what we can offer.
PRICING
Pricing would be billed by the hour (pre-paid) at the following rates. One could even buy a package of hours, and they could be used in 30-min increments for those that feel they need extra on-going support. Refunds of unused hours are not allowed, thus only purchase what you really need. However, the unused hours do not expire. We doubt there would be any promotions offered in the future with consulting rates.

1 hour @ $150.00
3 hours @ $420.00 ($140/hr)
5 hours @ $650.00 ($130/hr)
10 hours @ $1200.00 ($120/hr)
ALTERNATIVES
If your purpose is to obtain QBO training, there are cheaper alternatives. The value with our option is that you can specifically target the areas you care about vs. spending extra time in finding the answer within a more complete training program. Time is money. Just depends on where the person is at and what is the complexity of the problem. We only offer our (specialized) consulting – we do not have any prerecorded training videos to offer. Please include a decent description of your issue so we can determine if a Discovery Call is warranted. We may advise that an alternative option would be better to pursue from your end. While we are in the business of being profitable ourselves, we do have your best interest at heart, and we have no desire to take advantage of one’s situation. Less costly options are out there, and the value would need to be weighed accordingly.
